CLASS 3

                         ❤️ Hello February❤️

We have had a great month, exploring water and cornflour and making pancakes and Pizza in Cookery.

 Our Valentine play activities involved artwork and fun.

We celebrated the Chinese new year and enjoyed Attention Autism.

January in Class 3 has been very busy.

We have enjoyed Sensory Play with shaving foam, Winter trees in Artwork, and in morning play lots of Winter Activities.

Class 3 love Attention Autism and Cookery.

Finishing off with great Literacy and Shape work.

We have enjoyed learning all about Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk, and planting our magic beans.

September 2023

Welcome to Class 3 we have a lovely new teacher this year who is really enjoying meeting our amazing pupils. 
The weather has been great so plenty of outside activities.

April 2023 Update.

We engaged in lots of lovely activities and enjoyed learning all about Spring. We've had fun in the sensory garden, enjoying some nice weather!

 

March 2023 Update

We had a busy month and enjoyed celebtaring St Patricks day and World book day. We've been enjoying lots of activities around our food topic and all loved the yummy pizza!

February 2023 Update

We have enjoyed learning about all things food in the month of February. We have explored with fruit, vegetables and lots of other types of food. We loved using money to buy sweets from our sweet shop, this was a tasty treat! 

January 2023 Update

We have settled back into our school routine and we're having lots of fun exploring our Winter topic. We have been very busy settling into our new classroom and exploring our new space.  We have also welcomed a new pupil to our class and look forward to seeing what 2023 brings!

December 2022 Update

We are really enjoying the run up to Christmas and all of the lovely activities. We even had a trip out to Bridge Primary to watch their school Nativity. We had so much fun and got to meet Santa. We're starting to count the sleeps now!

 

November 2022 Update

We're really enoying our topic 'People Who Help Us' and getting stuck into lots of role play based around, doctors, vets and hairdressers! We even had a special visitor who has  a shell and  goes by the name of 'Melmin'! We all loved having the opportunity to hold him and get an up close look at a real life tortoise!

We participated in Nursery Rhyme week and enjoyed the opportunitiy to have some joint play with our friends in another class. 

October 2022 Update

We have been working hard this month and enjoying the run upto Halloween. We hope that everybody has a lovely break at home and look forward to lots more fun and learning in November!

September 2022 Update

We have all settled in so well to our new routine. We've loved seeing our old friends and we're having fun with new friends too.

We have loved to make the most of the nice weather this month and have enjoyed taking our learning outside. We also had a special treat to experience the sensory bus with our friends.

The staff in class 3 are so proud of all the boys and girls and look forward to the year ahead!

May 2022

Term 3 has been a busy start for Class 3.  We have been enjoying our Farm Topic.  We have had a wonderful time with lots of messy sensory play experiences.  We made some muddy pigs and some sheep using popcorn.  Class 3 were all very brave and enjoyed looking at and stroking 'Lucky' the lamb that came to School for a visit.

April 2022

Class 3 have had a busy month finishing off our 'Colour' topic.  We had a wonderful time exploring Easter before our half term break.  Class 3 loved it when the Leavers Class brought the little Chicks down for us to have a look at.  Class 3 pupils were not afraid to try and stroke them. We have enjoyed weekly PE sessions led by Primal Fitness.  The parchute is an all time favourite in our class.  We hope that everyone had a lovely Easter Break and we are looking forward to the Summer Term.  

March 2022 

Class 3 have had a busy month exploring our topic of 'Colour'.  We have enjoyed our sensory story 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' and made our own coloured animals from the story.  We kept our hands busy with lots of colour themed sensory bins.  This month we had the opportunity to explore the great outdoors when Tim and Cary from Field Studies Ireland made a visit to our school.  Class 3 especially enjoyed our session when we had the opportunity to explore and experience different smells of spices and herbs.

February 2022

Class 3 have been exploring all things RED for the month of February for Valentines.  We decorated hearts, played with roses and rose petals and enjoyed the love heart theme on our OmiVista.  We even made love heart shortbread and cheesecake.  You would agree that our pupils had a wonderful time spreading lots of Valentine Cheer!

Happy New Year!

Class 3 have had a wonderful month exploring and learning all about Winter.  We have had lots of messy play with fake snow, ice and foam.  We enjoyed our Sensory Story 'The Snowman' and loved all of our snowman craft.  Class 3 have been working hard on their independence skills during art sessions and enjoyed getting very messy.

CLASS 3 UPDATE - MAY 2021

CLASS 3 UPDATE- APRIL 2021

This month we are learning about Spring and we are enjoying our story topic of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We have produced lots of beautiful Spring art such as using broccoli to paint cherry blossom trees and shaving foam to decorate umbrellas and rain drops. We even painted flowers using forks.

We have also had lots of sensory exploration and outdoor learning. We also gave an outdoor obstacle course a go during PE. 

For numeracy we have been learning about shape and exploring all of the shapes in our environment, both natural and man-made. We have also continued working on our counting.

Class 3 Update - January 2020

Our Maths focus this month has been all about measures. We have been busy with lots of practical learning. We have made towers of different heights. We have sorted objects according to size and we have also been using cubes to measure the size of different objects.

We have been exploring and learning about winter. We have painted snowmen, made ice towers and snowflake pictures. We have also made bird feeders to put out in our school grounds.
