Class 8 

2023-2024

June 2024 

Class 8 have had a fun filled June. We thoroughly enjoyed the Colour Run Sports Day, some music therapy sessions and a visit from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service. We also enjoyed opening our class up to our other Middle School friends for a Cinema Club. We enjoyed taking on different roles on the day such as popcorn and ticket sellers. We hope everyone in Class 8 has a fantastic summer. 

May 2024 

 

Class 8 enjoyed finishing off our Living Things topic and worked very hard on our IEP targets. We also loved our sensory cookery Wednesdays making lots of delicious treats. 

April 2024

In April we have enjoyed our Spring topic work. We have enjoyed watching the bulbs we grew earlier. 

March 2024

In March we finished off our Transport topic. The class enjoyed this topic very much. We also had great fun with our Easter activities and enjoyed some Easter games on the last day of term. We have included some pictures of our favourite cookery activities this month as well some art activities. We also enjoyed a Bubble Workshop. 

February 2024

In February we have enjoyed celebrating all the nice things this month has to offer such as Valentine's Day and Pancake Tuesday. We have enjoyed some activity based learning activities for Valentines and Transport. The class have been very busy with their hands making toy cars, raspberry ruffles, scones and painting and filling Valentine planters. Keep up the hard work Class 8. 

JANUARY 2024 

We have been getting stuck into our new topic of Transport and all the boys have really enjoyed all the hands on activities. They loved releasing their hot air balloons in the playground and watching if they took off or not. We have been focusing on our time work this month and made some lovely clocks for our classroom. 

DECEMBER 2023 

We have had a busy month in Class 8. Some of our December highlights have been - the Christmas Show,  chippy lunch, making Christmas cards and crafts for family  and friends. We have also loved seeing what mischief our Elf has been up to each day. We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year. 

NOVEMBER 2023

OCTOBER 2023 

Class 8 have had a very busy October. We want to share with you some of our favourite Halloween activities. We enjoyed some drumming lessons, carving pumpkins, making chocolate apple slices and our dress up Disco day to finish the term. 

September 2023

Class 8 have enjoyed getting to know each other in September. Some of our favourite activities were our Attention Autism sessions, the scarecrow workshop and desk drumming.

   Hello April.
Class 8 have enjoyed some great P.E outdoors, ball skills and balancing bean bags.

Flower Artwork using forks and lots of spring Activities in ABL. We enjoyed making pizzas in cookery and have some keen gardeners, we’ll show you a photo next time of our planters.

Pancake fun in Class 8,  and sharing our weekend news with our friends. 
Our Artwork this month is all about being kind.

We made pink play dough and used our heart cutters. 
In ABL we made our very own Snow and Snowflake soup.

Hello December! We have been very busy in class 8 with all our Christmas activities. We also had our final visits to the donkey therapy which we absolutely loved, thanks to Anne for everything.

For Anti- Bullying Week - we do love to make a poster! We had fun putting it together and showing it off.

We had great fun making a friendship poster in class and talked about being kind to our friends in school...

Class  8 enjoyed finding Superheroes in the foam, painting fireworks and making playdough.

Hello October.
Class 8 have been enjoying Autumn Artwork, music with Abbie,  Autumnal activity based learning and Cookery . It’s been a great month.

Class 8 Update - January 2020

Class 8 are loving their new topic of ‘Sensory Celebrations’. So far we have celebrated a kite festival a lantern festival and a flower festival. We are working on pouring for measure and we have started to treat ourselves to a lovely foot spa each week. The light up balloons were a big hit with everyone for our Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year is up next.
